The Compaq Threshold Agent could not set the variable because the value is invalid or out of range.
Has anyone seen this error before ?
"The Compaq Threshold Agent could not set the variable because the value is invalid or out of range."
I am getting this error every now and then on a bunch of servers, not the same ones all the time, and certainly not all of the servers.
What I'm trying to do is set a threshold, namely specifying that there should be a warning alert at 80% disk full, a major alert at 90% disk full, and a return to previous state at 75% resp. 85% disk full.
Now most of the servers, lets say at least 900 out of 1100 will accept the setting no questions asked, and it will work as intended, then there's the 100'something servers that will complain over a variety of errors, mostly resulting from incorrectly configured agents, but then there's this one which I really so far have not found out what causes it, as sometimes the setting passes, sometimes it does not and gives this "out of range" error, for a value that really should be "in" range from what I can understand ?
(SIM version is "still" 4.1 and agent versions may vary but should mostly be 7.1 plus all newer drivers found by VCA)
