The device does not have any supported instrumentation.

I get this message when I try to do a data collection on a machine. I have verified the system protocol settings and believe they are correct but when I try to collect, I immediately get the error "The device does not have any supported instrumentation"
There is a firewall between the SIM server and this server. What needs to be open to allow this communication?

Re: The device does not have any supported instrumentation.

Hello METLuther,

Couple pointers,

1.The SNMP Trapsettings on the node should point to the CMS server
2.Whats the SNMP Security property set to,
Accept SNMP packets from these hosts OR any host?

I do have those settings. Test trap does not make it to the CMS server. Does that get sent through port 161 or 162?
