The system(s) can not be identified by either WBEM or SNMP
hello,
i have sim 6.2 installed and i'm running into the problem where i get the error The system(s) can not be identified by either WBEM or SNMP when doing a discovery.
weird thing is this only happens on some systems.
all of them have the same snmp community string added, trap destinations.. everything is the same across all the servers.
Or so i think.
domain controllers show up properly, but exchange servers for example do not.
Is there any reason why this would be happening? my hp servers show up ok. the domain controllers are dells and they show up fine too. i'm completely lost
firewall has been disabled so that should not be an issue.
any ideas?

Re: The system(s) can not be identified by either WBEM or SNMP
Are these all HP servers?
I've had this issue since upgrading to 6.x, 5.x I didn't have the problems. I currently have an open case with HP, and the initial response that I got was that HP SIM didn't support WBEM on non-HP devices. I escalated the case a manager and I was assured that HP SIM would support WBEM on non-HP hardware.
That said, the initial response doesn't leave me feeling too confident.

Re: The system(s) can not be identified by either WBEM or SNMP
the domain controllers are dells and they show up fine. so it doesn't appear to be a hp vs non-hp issue
