Too many email alert from HP SIM when users shutdown their workstation ?

Hi All,

Can anyone please assist me in where to configure HP SIM so that it doesn't monitor or send email alert when HP laptop or desktop is offline ?

I got multiple email alert with the subject System is unreachable: Critical IT Infrastructure Alerts whenver users turn off their workstation. Well it works as well for the server, but in this case how can I tune it so it only monitors server only not workstations ?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure why these workstations gets listed in the collections below hence the alerting still keep on coming to my mailbox.

Click the collection  / create a collection of those workstations.

Options > System Properties > Suspend of Resume Monitoring..." It will stop it from monitoring when it goes down so you won't get alerted.

Hello,

Why don't you create a filter that has a filter the does not include workstation and let that filter send the email alerts.

Or if you don't want to monitor the desktops create a discovery filter that prevents discovery of workstations.

Kind regards,

Andrew
