Triger an Alert or Notification if there are new server discovery.

Our environment is very dynamic and kind of difficult to monitor, like we want to track donw Ho many total of Server we have...

Can I configure my HPSIM ver 5. to send an alert or notification if there is new server discover by SIM.

Hi

The easiest way would be to create a new task with the following criteria :

Create an automatic event handling task:
with event and system attributes that I will specify
Task name = newly discovered server
Select Event = Event Type = Systems Insight Manager Events / Discovered System
Select Systems = System type or name = any
Select Actions = send email
Select Time Filte = none

Be sure not to filter the Informational events.
