Hello,

in my case I have the same problem describted by Nelson Kaepel (Event 2099). This error occures only on systems where Microsoft SoftGrid is installed, even if the device (Q-Drive) is unknown.

The problem still exist after installation of the current PSP (Version 8.11A 25-09-2008).

Setting the Agent 'Host Information' to inactive state is a workaround but actual I don't know the dependency on the change...

So I am wondering if anyone has ever seen this and knows how to fix it.

We also have this issue with the HP agents and Softgrid client.

Does anyone has already a solution for this?

I found a workaround to get rid of the event messages.

Install the HP Insight Management Agent version 7.95 instead of a 8.** version.

I have tried to install the Agent from 7.95, but that did not help.
I have got a new mail from Microsoft:

It has taken me months but I never stopped trying to get an answer from HP regarding this issue.

Finally, I was told by HP that there is a known issue identified by HP regarding our scenario.

The fix is to install the latest Proliant support Pack, version 8.1 which you can download from www.hp.com

Hopefully, this will resolve the issue.

From our side, this is pretty much all I can do and since this case has been open for so long, I would like to ask you if you can please test the Proliant support pack and let me know the results, so we can move for a case closure as soon as possible.

Hi

I now have upgraded the HP Supportpack to version 8.10 (Agents 8.11), and that did it. Every thing is working fine now.
