Unable to run Configure and Repair Agent.
Hi!
I have a problem to run CRA tool.
Win 2003 SP2, SIM 5.2 with hotfix. DL 385 G1.
Not a member in AD. Have 2 NICs in. One on the iLO-net and one on the prod-net.
SIM was originally installed with only 1 NIC on the iLO-net (10.x.x.x)
When I run the CRA tool I am not to contact the servers or not able to log with the provided credential.
Here is the errors:
---------------------
Configuration of agents started, waiting for it to be completed.
Configure Agents and Providers (START) ...
Windows configuration command (START)...
HP Systems Insight Manager was unable to connect to the target using the provide
d username and password. Please recheck the administrator credentials before run
ning this task again.
Running the Windows based repair tool (DONE).......................... [ERROR]
Additional details above.
---------------------
We have tested to connect to the servers to c$ and it works fine with the same credential.
Is it because we have 2 NIC:s on seperat net??
Best Regards
/Micke Christenson

Re: Unable to run Configure and Repair Agent.
At times, when CRA has been balky, I've had success in using the command line to configure the credentials. The syntax is
mxagentconfig -a -n -u -p
-- Rob
mxagentconfig -a -n
-- Rob

Re: Unable to run Configure and Repair Agent.
Hi!
Mxagentconfig is´nt that for SSH access??
I thought it was. I do not have SSH access to my servers.
Why?
Because I can not use Configure and Repair Agent.Thats why I can not install SSH on the other node.
Is it mandatory to have SSH access to all servers when I run CRA tool??
I think its not.
Best regards

Re: Unable to run Configure and Repair Agent.
Hi!
Anyone knows what port CRA tool uses for its job.
I have check that the NIC I want to use is the primary NIC in Windows.
Could it be some firewall stopping me to contact servers that I want to run CRA tool on.
Best Regards
