Unmonitoring CIM 7 and HPSIM
We are migrating from IM5.10 to either of the above. It is easy to unmonitor a server in IM5.10 (remove from Responsible Device List). Is there a similar way of unmonitoring a server in either of the above (other than deleting the entry and manually recreating it). I am new to both CIM7 and HPSIM (testing both) and trying to get familiar with them. I also understand HPSIM4.2 is being released at the end of the year to fix code problems in 4.1. Thanks for your help

Re: Unmonitoring CIM 7 and HPSIM
First off, forget CIM 7 as HPSIM is replacing it.
I'm not sure you'd want to "UnMonitor" a Server, in HPSIM you'd more likely turn off notifications.
But, if you want to exclude certain Servers from Discovery etc. then you just add them to the Discovery Exclusion list.
Using default HPSIM commands you can select the Servers to be used in a particular notification task. These can be added or removed as required.
Another way is to use a Custom Command for notifications and let that read a list of devices to exclude which could be a simple text file.
