Unwanted Orange Triangle in SW column
One of my servers has some of the latest version drivers which is newer than the Support Pack Version. That causes my Overall Software Status to show a orange error. I’m happy with the software but I’m not happy with the orange error that I have to remember that the error is because of the mismatch. Is there a way to tell SIM that I acknowledge the mismatch and make the status green?
Also in the CW column I have orange warnings on machines I will not renew contracts on. We use them as test servers after a long and useful working life. Is there a way to make these show a blue icon or something else instead?
Thanks,
Tango

Re: Unwanted Orange Triangle in SW column
Remove that check - you just want to meet the requirements and don't care if you exceed them.

Re: Unwanted Orange Triangle in SW column
Then I deploy this new custom package as a reference on all my servers.
That way, I can keep the VCA doing the check if all softwares are in line with my standard, and have a green checkmark where it is OK

To get rid of the orange warnings best way is to disable CW data collection for these old system.
- Select the systems.
- Select Options, System Properties - Suspend or Resume Contract and Warranty Data Collection.
- Verify the collection and click Next
- Select 'Do not collect contract and warranty....'
- Select 'Run Now'
This method turns the orange triangle to a gray square and CW collection will not happen on these machines.
Good luck,
Marcel
