Updating VCRM

Hello

I have updated by VCRM and created subfolders to try and organise updates but now my servers can see any files, they are still trying to point to the old one which arn't there.

How do you refresh the VCRM or the VCA on the servers to pick up new changes?

Thanks!

Re: Updating VCRM

hi

I am not sure that organizing the vcrm content in subfolders is supported. Normally changes that can be applied are adding or removing PSPs from the vcrm using the web interface. If one remove or add psps, he should update the catalog to reflect these actions.page 28 of the following guide :

Rescanning the repository
When the repository directory is updated manually, rescan the repository and rebuild the Catalog
so the new files are displayed on the Catalog page.
Catalog 27
NOTE: Rebuilding the Catalog can take several minutes, is resource intensive, and can result in degraded performance of the VCRM depending on the catalog size and system performance where the VCRM is installed.
To rescan the repository and rebuild the catalog:
1. Click the Catalog tab. The Catalog page appears.
2. Click the Rescan the Repository and Rebuild the Catalog link. The Confirm Rescan
dialog box appears.
3. Click No to end the rescan process. Click Yes to rescan the repository directory and rebuild the catalog. When the process is complete, the refreshed Catalog page appears.

vca

the vca connects on a regular basis to the vcrm to get info on its upadted content, manually : Refreshing inventory data
The HP Version Control Agent (VCA) enables you to manually refresh the inventory data.
To refresh the inventory data:
1. Click the Home tab. The Home page appears.
2. Click Refresh the Inventory Data. The Home page is refreshed.

hope it helps.
