Upgrade from 6.0 to 6.2 Failed, but seems OK w/ logs
I was brave this morning and decided to do an upgrade on our sim 6.0 server. Server is 2008 SP2 x64 Standard. Database server is SQL 2005 SP3. I rebooted the SIM 6.0 server first to make sure everything comes up clean and there are no hung out windows services or anything.
Ran the installer and evertyhing started to go OK. It got to the configuring the database and it took a while then I got the following error that popped up:
"HP Systems Insight Manager failed to install successfully. Setup cannot continue. Click OK to exit the installation".
At this point I looked at the initconfig log file and here is that:

At this point I just restarted the "hp system insight manager" service. I re-ran the setup file and it only installed the version control repository and then it said it needed a reboot.
I rebooted the server and after a few minutes was able to log into SIM and get the following version info:
Systems Insight Manager 6.2 - Windows
Build version: C.06.02.00.00
Build date: 2010-09-23 13:00
I don't know why this happened but it might be ok. I have to make sure things are still working as they should.
