Upgrade to 5.1 with workaround fails

I tried the workaround on my certification system and all steps went OK.

However when I login to the updated system I get the follow error

HTTP Status 500 -

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

Anyone seen this?
