Upgrade to SIM 4.2 sp2
I am in the process of upgrading to HP SIM 4.2 SP2. During the Auto Discovery i am recieving Thsi alert for some of the servers and Management processors (iLo): (Mostly for iLo though)
"The Data Collection task did not complete. The target system may not be running a supported instrumentation protocol, such as SNMP, WBEM or DMI."
What does this mean? The Servers are at least running 6.4 Foundation Agents. Are they not supported?

Re: Upgrade to SIM 4.2 sp2
Hi,
That means that SIM server cannot "talk" with iLo devices trough WMI protocol (thats normal).Management processors don't have "software" to respond to WMI querys.
In respect to the servers, aren't they Windows NT4?Because Windows NT4 doesn't support WMI (unless you installed the add-on).
Rgds

You can modify the query associated with the automatic event handling tasks such that the systems of type is excluded...
