Upgraded to SIM 4.1, but no servers?
Hi guys,
Recently upgraded to SIM 4.1 from the older Compaq version, and after the upgrade was complete I see no machines in the console. If I attempt to manually add a machine, it informs me that it already exists, but I have yet to find it - any ideas?

Re: Upgraded to SIM 4.1, but no servers?
â ¢ Due to differences between Insight Manager 7 and HP Systems Insight Manager, the
HP Systems Insight Manager administrator is required to log into HP Systems Insight
Manager after the migration and review all changes made. By default, the DMT
disables many upgraded configuration items so that you can review and make
changes. After migration, you must log into HP Systems Insight Manager to complete
the migration process. You must verify all migrated user accounts and assign
authorizations for each user. You must also manually enable all migrated tasks and
automated event handling rules.

One more try!
You need to go to Options-->Security-->Users and Authorizations. Then assign the CMS and (All Managed Systems) or (Proliant Servers) to your user.

Re: Upgraded to SIM 4.1, but no servers?
I just had this same problem. Turns out I had to manually run the Data Migration Tool, dmtshell.exe, after the installation completed. It's in %programfiles%\HP\Systems Insight Manager Data Migration Tool
You'd think there would at least be a popup at the end of the install that said "Run this to complete data migration . . ." But then I guess I could have RTFM. If you would like to RTFM, it's here:
