VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
after updating to VC Agent 2.2.0.820 the Agent crash on serveral Servers if I enter the VC Agent Website.
HP SMH error_log says:
[Fri Feb 27 07:53:45 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Premature end of script headers: cgi, referer: https://localhost:2381/cgi-bin/vcagent/cgi
Has someone the same problem, or any solution ?
Thx
Bye Nils

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
can you check system event viewer messages related to VCA crash, & also open vcagent.log [using notepad] under "C:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent\"
what is the page displayed in browser? it is a "page not found" or "internal server error" or some other response?

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
thx for the replys.
@sandeep_raman:
1. Upgrade Path ?
2. It crashâ s on 8 Servers, the other 41 are working well. Also it's not Model related.
@Logapriyan:
System Event Log says only:
The HP Version Control Agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 14 time(s).
The Browser displays an Internal Server Error.
vcagent.log says:
Downgrade to a previous Version, restart and upgrade again doesn't help.
Thx

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
Can you try the following in one server?
1) uninstalling VCA [then reboot?]
2) Delete "vcagent" folder [if present] under "C:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\"
3) Install the latest version of VCA
Also check application event messages at the same time for any more details

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
issue 1:- Issue can be in Inventory data collected through discovery module present in VCA.
solution 1:- Install HP agents (PSP) & SNMP is configured atleast with one valid community string
issue 2:- During installation few new files did not get installed properly.
Solution 2:- copy xsl, xsl.en & xsl.ja folders present inside "vcagent" folder from working system to one non-working server and restart VCA & try to browse

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
Premature end of script headers: cgi, referer: https://localhost:2381/cgi-bin/vcagent/cgi
says he has some problems with the cgi script.
I checked the access rights all fine, smhpd.conf same as of a working server.
Reinstalled the whole HP PSP, same prob.
Gna, no idear here :/

Re: VC Agent 2.2.0.820 crash if I enter the VC Agent Website
Even trying to restarted doesn't help.
Take a look at the service when you try to access it and see if you have the same problem.
I downgraded VCA by copying the vcagent.exe file from a working machine's folder (C:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent\) and the service starts fine and stays running, then the VCA webpage can be accessed without problems.
