Is it me or is there something wrong with the VCA on my server?
Take a look at the attached .jpg & you will understand what I mean.
The "Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP ProLiant DL360 G3 (P31)" IS out of date - but the VCA is giving me the GREEN check mark!
Has any one else seem this or am I just the 'lucky' one?
Any ideas why this happened? And, yes, I know I can fix it by running the upgrade - that's not my question.
Martin

Re: VCA Problem - Out of date firmware is shown as upto date!!
In all cases the new Firmware variant is 2004.09.15
I've also a Server that's a couple of firmware versions behind and it's true of that as well.

Re: VCA Problem - Out of date firmware is shown as upto date!!
the same for me, But the outdated Image is dated from 13/06/2004.
it is also no difference if it is a NT or a Windows 2000 server in my case.
Anyone has a hint ?

Re: VCA Problem - Out of date firmware is shown as upto date!!
Hi David,
I would if I though it might actually do some good!
It may be different over in the USA, but my experience of reporting software issues to UK support is that I am wasting my time.
I have found that the attitude of the support tech is normally one of complete indifference to my problem. Unless it's a hardware fault or a know software issue, they seem unable/unwilling to help out or to pass it up to any product development team/manager.
I can wait for someone to 'find' & fix the problem - after all it probably is a typo in the MNF (XML) file for that CP.!
Kind Regards,
Martin.
