VCRM General Question

I am running HPSIM 5.00 on 32 bit Red Hat Linux ES v3.0. I cannot seem to find resources to actually install the repository on this system. I've seen several packages for Win32, but none for Linux. Can anyone give me a high-level overview of how this is supposed to work? The way I understood it, the HPSIM uses VCRM as a plugin, where the VCRM maintains a package repository that can be pushed out to a remote host based on the packages installed (this is where the VCA brokers it). Am I on the right track? Are there resources that are more helpful than the HPSIM 5 manual (which I'd read a few dozen times now!)

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Re: VCRM General Question

John,
There is no Linux Version of VCRM. You need to have a windows system to install VCRM. Once installed you can copy all the required Linux support pack the Repository.

Discover this VCRM system in SIM and establish the trust relationship. Set this VCRM as default in SIM under Options->VCRM.

Install Version Control Agent for Linux systems on the target server and configure it to point to the windows VCRM.

Discover these target servers in VCRM and create a Software Deployment task to install the complete support pack.
