VCRM not available.
I have upgraded from SIM 4.1 to SIM 4.2 sp1 and now when I try to see the VCRM show it the following message:
Error, the Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM) was not found on any discovered systems. If the VCRM is installed, be sure it is running and that the system it is running on has been discovered by HP Systems Insight Manager. To verify the VCRM is identified, view the Links tab on the system's Device Page. If the system is discovered, but the VCRM does not appear on the systems' Links tab, run an Identify Systems task to that system.
When I try to configure a VCA on a server the error message is that the service is not contactable (on psp 7.1 or 7.2) however if I run the SMH on the VCRM server itself I can browse to the repository with no problem.
HAs anyone seen this issue before?

Re: VCRM not available.
You have to discover the VCRM server in HPSIM. Goto Options->Discovery->Automatic Discovery. Enter the IP of the VCRM server in the inclusion range. Save and execute discovery. Then after the discovery process is complete, Open All systems list. Verify that the VCRM server is present in the list. Click on the name of the server. You will see the system page. On the links tab, you should see a link to Version control repository manager. Click on it. You should see the VCRM homepage (if the trust relationship is established between the SIM and VCRM server). If you are using System Management Homepage and latest VCRM (from 7.20) on the VCRM server, then SMH will automatically import the certificate from HPSIM to establish trust relationship, if it is not already set.
Once you have done the above, Goto Options->Version control repository.
You should see the VCRM server and the catalog.
Cheers

Re: VCRM not available.
I tried running the discovery but it still doesn't work. I also have a problem with PMP not working either. Setting up the trust relationship was mentioned previously. I've checked in the certificate list and my SIM server is in there - is there anything else that needs to be done. I can view PMP and VCRM when running the SMH locally but cannot view anything when in SIM????

Re: VCRM not available.
If your user ID is not a enabled for the CMS group in Users and Authorizations you will also not be able to see the VCRM.
