Re: Version control agent indicate a wrong version of the drivers

The version is not shown of the same manner between windows xp and windows 2000:
on the windows 2000 server the n100nt5.sys is visible as 5.29.4.67 and when I browse the same file with my XP workstation I see it as 8.0.21.0 ....

very strange...

Re: Version control agent indicate a wrong version of the drivers

Very odd as you say.
Checked on a W2K Server here with an NC3163 and that all looks okay. Via Device Manager, via My Computer properties on the n100nt5.sys file all show version 8.0.21.0

All I can think to do is delete the driver and install from scratch.

Re: Version control agent indicate a wrong version of the drivers

the pb is coming from this fu... mui wich is rewriting the dll when you install it:

C:\WINNT\MUI\FALLBACK\040c\n100nt5.sys.mui

I deleted it and tested on several servers and it looks OK.
Thanks to everybody who need to help me.
