Version Control Agent not working
Hi everyone,
Hope someone might be able to help me. I have IM7 installed which seems to be running fine. However, all my servers except two have blue dots in the SW column.
When I use the sys management homepage and try to configure the Version Control Agent I get the error:
"The Version Control Agent encountered an error while obtaining the software and firmware inventory."
I get this on all the servers, despite the service seems to be running ok and reinstalling using the latest ver. (2.0.1.30).
Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can get the VCA working?
Many thanks,
Giles

Re: Version Control Agent not working
The VCA cannot talk to the VCRM.
Have you configured it?
It needs to know the Server name of the VCRM Server, and the Account and Password to use to login.
Go to the VCA on one of the errant Servers.
Go to the Change Agent Settings and set the details. This should now contact the VCRM.
Also check that the VCRM is at the latest release.
