Version Control Repository Update Fails
Hi - I'm receiving the following error whenever VCRM tries to update from HP
Error for file: C:\hp\hpsmh\data\webapp-data\vcrepository\catalogindex.xml
Error code: 12003
An extended error was returned from the server.550 /pub/softlib/software2/COL3293/catalogindex.xml: No such file or directory.
Error for file: catalog.xml
Error code: 12003
An extended error was returned from the server.550 /pub/softlib/software2/COL3293/catalog.xml: No such file or directory.
I've checked other threads on this
- we are not using a Proxy server
- I have tried renaming the current catalog.xml file (catalogindex.xml is not present)
None of which make any difference.
I ran a network trace on the connection and found it was going to 192.151.53.86 every time, but makes no DNS request before doing so. Is the address hard coded in VCRM - if yes, where is it and can it be changed ?
I manually ftp'd to the indicated address and could not cd to the software2 directory. If I ftp to ftp.hp.com, I can get right down to the xml files OK.
Anyone else got this problem ? Its been broken for about 2-3 weeks
Thanks
STEVE

Re: Version Control Repository Update Fails
The same thing happened to me. I called HP and they said to remove and reinstall the VCRM. I did so and the update worked for one week after the reinstallation. Now it's broken again.

Re: Version Control Repository Update Fails
Reinstalling the repository worked - although I had to repopulate it from scratch.
I'll have to see if it stays working for more than a week.
