Version Control version 2.1.0.720
I noticed in my version control agent on my cms that the version control repository version is 2.1.0.720. Is there a version of that same level for the version control agents? Also where do i find the installable version of the repository of that level? Since my baseline only has 2.0.7.10, it makes my overall status as degraded since my installed version is higher than what is in my repository. I looked on the HP web site, but I could only find the version 2.0.7.10.
Also, I have read posts on this board referring to the support pak verson 7.20. I only can find version 7.10A. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Version Control version 2.1.0.720
VCRM 2.1.0.720 was installed as part of HPSIM 4.2. I'm guessing there may be an update to the VCA in the 7.2 release - scheduled for mid-Feb.
Interesting that it shows up as degraded - it doesn't on mine. Normally items are flagged green if they're higher than in the repository.
What version of the VCA are you running on the Server with VCRM installed?
Do you set a Reference Pak for these Servers?

Re: Version Control version 2.1.0.720
Actually, I just recently set up a reference pak as a baseline with the latest drivers and bios revisions, although I am having difficulties getting everything on the list. I usually end up with a couple of items in the VCA that show on the latest version column, but not on the support pak column, even though I have the items in my reference pak. I wish there were a way to clean the repository of old items without having to manually search the list for old items to delete. I like to clean it to conserve space on the server.
I think the reason the higher version marks the overall status as degraded is because of the setting where you check the box to set the overall status based on the exact match of the support pak. I dont think it matters if something is newer or older, it just has to match if you have that setting checked.
Fine on the release date for 7.2. I will just have to wait. I just figured that if it was loaded with SIM, it would be available otherwise. No biggie...

Re: Version Control version 2.1.0.720
I'd forgotten about the exact match. I just leave that unchecked, I'm only interested if there are items in the VCRM higher than those installed.
