VMM 2.1 Transation Logs - They're Huge!
Hi all, I've discovered that with VMM 2.1, my transaction logs in SQL are almost 17GB.. yes that's right!
The DB itself is only 3MB, so this is very bizarre.
Is anyone else experiencing this or know any way to get this not to suck up my free space?
This is SQL2000 SP 4 by the way.

Re: VMM 2.1 Transation Logs - They're Huge!
For how many days has the log been switchd on? Can you also tell how many Virtual machines and VM Hosts are being managed. You could configure the transaction log file to a certain limit. Here is the URL to deal with the transaction log

Re: VMM 2.1 Transation Logs - They're Huge!
Thanks Ranganath,
I was going to add an entry this morning that I had sorted the issue.
Most of the disk space used was just free space, so I got our SQL guy to shrink it for me and it's now much better.
He also changed the logging settings.
It's currently managing 7 ESX hosts and approx. 50 VM's.
