VPM not listening on port 3464
Hi
I have just installed HP SIM 5sp5 on a new server, with VPM version 2.0.3 on a windows 2003 sp1 server. Everything works fin except when I try and run a patch based on a scan or just a patch not based on a scan the client gets a connection error "061-Connection refused". I haved checked ssh and can connect fromthe target machine to the HP SIM, Machine. I hae also run a utility that will listen on a port and set it to 3464 indicating that SIM is not listening on that port. Both machines are on the inside of the firewall so it is not that blocking the connection. At a loss for what could be causing it any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: VPM not listening on port 3464
Is the VPM service started and running?
I had an issue where VMM would fail and taht was because some Trend software was grabbing the ports.
I got some feedback that suggested a change to the registry to ensure the ports were reserved and this fixed the issue.
I used a product Active Ports that will lists what is listening on what and that help me diagnose the problem.

Re: VPM not listening on port 3464
I believe that VPM is running we have the Radia Integration service Radia Messaging service running. I ran the active ports and nothing is listening on 3464.
