VPM patches dont get updated
Greetings,I am using the latest vertsion of HP SIM and VPM, when I perform a vulneribility scan on a client server running windows 2003 SP2,the VPM report shows a few high vulnerabilities, however under further analysis of the vulnerabilities shown they dont seem to be apply to Win2003 SP2, and when trying to apply the patch that VPM reported that is needed the patch report shows "not applicable", but HP sim still shows this a "X" as it thinks there is still a vulnerability.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Re: VPM patches dont get updated
Hello Dsmit,
Could you tell us what is/are the patch(es) number?
Were you able to apply some other patches in this target machine?
And last but not least, is there any chance for you provide remote access to this machine?
Thanks,
Lucas

Re: VPM patches dont get updated
Hi Lucas thanks for you help, I have been able to apple certian pathed to this target machine with nor problems it just certian patches such as MS07-016, MS07-004, MS06-071
AS mentioned my target server is running win2003 SP2 IE7,I think SP2 already contains these patches and therfore does not need to install them however as mentioned when doing a scan it still show as necessary to install these, but wont.
Lastly I am unable to give you access to out servers.
Denis
