What causes the system type to show "unmanaged"
If the server has current agents and the SNMP strings are correct as well as SNMP permitted managers, what would cause this?

Re: What causes the system type to show "unmanaged"
It does mean that HPSIM has not been able to get any recognizable response from any of the protocols it tests.
If you've made changes, rerun the Identification task for that Server.
Note, SNMP Community names are case sensitive, and if this is a W2003 Server the default SNMP setting is to only accept SNMP requests from selected hosts, unlike W2000 which was allow all.
