Where to find the PMP settings in HPSIM ?

Call me stupid but I can't seem to find where the settings for PMP are located in the new HPSIM ? The manual states "To access the License Administration page from the Systems Insight Manager console toolbar, click Options>Performance Management Pack Options>Licensing." but I have no PMP choice on the Options menu, there's only Discovery, Events, Status Polling, Security, Protocol, Cluster, Data Collection, Homepage and Version Control ?
Still PMP is installed on the SIM server, and if you go to its homepage you get the link to the PMP management page, where you can enable the servers it has found (43 out of 1100), but where is the menu so I can add more licenses to monitor the servers I need ?
Am I missing something obvious here ?

Hi!

If You reinstalled SIM the installer will not install PMP on the server since it's allready there. It will not register the PMP in the SIM application though.

Reinstalling the PMP again helped me.

I did upgrade from CIM7 to HPSIM, but the upgrade tool reported all components completed successfully so I didn't think there was an error but I could try reinstallation of PMP.
Do you keep the installed licenses if you make a reinstallation ?

I had no licenses applied before I reinstalled the SIM (no upgrade) so I'm not shure. I beleive the licenses are stored in the database so Your upgrade should have taken care of that. Otherwise it seems like a tedious work to apply them again.

After a PMP installation, the PMP menu options might not appear on the HP Systems
Insight Manager console. Manually add the PMP menu options by performing one
of the following:

- From the command line, enter: mxtool -a -f â :
\Performance Management Pack 3\ToolsMenu\PMPTools.xmlâ

- Copy PMPTools.xml from :\Performance
Management Pack 3\ToolsMenu to :\System
Insight Manager\Setup

Then, restart HP System Insight Manager Se

Thanks, worked like a charm, didn't even have to restart the service afterwards, the menu automatically updated itself.

I need to remind myself to scan all the help documents and not just the online help. :-)
