Which Agents to be installed on managed systems?
I am having a power down tonight so installing Agents on Proliant Servers for use with SIM 4.1
I have installed the following, are there any others that are useful to install:
-Insight Mgt Agent
-Version Control Agent
-Systems Mgt Controller

You should be using the ProLiant Support Pack. It contains all of the dependencies and drivers necessary. The Insight agent should never be installed alone.

The agents are dependent upon several drivers to provide information. Installing the agents without the drivers (or even mis-matched versions) means that you won't have a complete picture of the system.
The ProLiant Support Pack also is the way that drivers/utilities/agents are tested before release as a whole. Installing individual components could result in problems that will be a pain to troubleshoot. Always work with the complete PSP--not only does it solve the dependencies, it also takes care of installation order.
