Best install-option for ESXi on DL380 Gen9 2xSFF Upgrade kit or better options available?

Hello!

I have an DL380 Gen9 with Media Bay. I have 8 SFF Bays. 6 are configured as Raid 5 for datastorage, 2 are configured with two SSDs as Smart Cache. 

I was running ESXi on USB but this is not longer supported. So I need a ne option: 

What is the best way to do it? 

Get rid of the Smartcache and use the drives as Raid 1 and install ESXi on it? 

Or should I get the 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA Kit 724864-B21??? I already have the media Bay and would install it in Front. Do I need anything else in addition to this kit? Is it plug and play? 

Are there other Options?

We would suggest not to disturb existing configuration and add addition hard drive for OS installation (system Disk) and keep the data disk ( data storage) drive on separate logical drive.
