Converting a RAID10 ADM array into RAID10
Hi I have a Apollo XL170r that has a six drive RAID10 ADM array - I wish to convert this to a RAID10 Array, retrieving two HDD, for another task. Can this be done online without destroying the data? I do not want to reconfigure or add drives to the Apollo R2800 chassis.
I will only attempt this if I am 100% sure that the scenario will work.
End game is four disks in a RAID10 array - two disks in a RAID1 array.

Re: Converting a RAID10 ADM array into RAID10
You can use shrink feature of the smart array controller which will allow you to remove the drive,
In this case you can remove two drives:
Syntax
<target> remove drives=[#:]#:#-[#:]#:# where <target>is an array, and the specified physical drives are being
removed to shrink the array
e.g.
array a remove drives=1e:1:12-1e:1:14
