DL360 G9 Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Restarted. Server power removed.
Thanks in advance for reading my post and helping
we have five of these and all of them are on the latest firmware from P26940_001_spp-2020.03.0-SPP2020030.2020-0319.22
this is a ceph cluster, and it will run fine for months then just randomly this happens and it shuts down several nodes at a time basically wrecking complete havock on the storage environment. we are running the operating system on USB3 128GB drives to preserve space for the cluster, do you know of any reasons why this is happening? the server completely shuts down until manual intervention (starting) server via ilo
is there such a thing as too much load on the USB Drives? I am completely floored that a server this relatively new with excellent hardware health would do this

Re: DL360 G9 Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Restarted. Server power removed.
it appears that the ceph operating system is recommeded to be on a seperate drive, however I still dont see how that would warrant a server shutting down on its own completely

Re: DL360 G9 Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Restarted. Server power removed.
Hi,
Please follow the customer advisory https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c04996097
I would suggest you to check the ILO4 firmware version has been updated to the latest, if not please update to the latest.
And if still same issue, tty reseting the ILO to default and check,
If still have any issue, reffer the above advisory and perform the steps.
Regards,
Vijay
