Expanding Raid Array on HP ProLiant DL380 G10 with raid 1+0
Hello,
We are looking to expand our 1+0 Raid Array on our HP ProLiant DL380 G10 using the ILO5 (v.260) firmware which I have seen is possible with the Intelligent Provisioning tool (v. 3.00.382). The server has a HPE Smart Array E208i-a SR G10, currently with 14 1TB WD SSDs.
I had recently added 2 additional identical disks which were picked up by the server, the LED display shows the odd read/write but understandably does not show them as part of an array. When I go into Intelligent Provisioning through ILO5 there is a an area showing Manage Array but the array does not show under this area. I can only see the Raid Array by going into the servers Config menu (F9) during boot and I do not believe there is the option to expand in this area as it is not the Intelligent Provisioning.
My worry is that the Raid Array has been created in this System Configuration menu and not through the Intelligent Provisioning area and that, for whatever reason, means Intelligent Provisioning cannot detect the Array to give the option to configure.
Would anyone be able to give any advice on this please? I have attempted to update the Intelligent Provisioning but the job just hangs. I had also noticed that many icons do not display correctly on this when using Chrome...so could potentially be that it does detect the Array but browsers are not displaying it, unlikely but just a thought.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Query: Expanding Raid Array on HP ProLiant DL380 G10 with raid 1+0
Hello,
Thanks for your reply, I have had a look through the links you provided, I think the only potential answer to my question from these links may be to enable Smart Array SW RAID Support, would that be correct?
Can you confirm if enabling Smart Array SW (assuming it is not already enabled) will not cause any issues with the existing array?
Thanks,
