Gen10 Proliants SDR Changing every 30 seconds
I have two Gen10 Proliant servers with Ubuntu installed. A ProLiant DL360 Gen10 and a ProLiant DL380 Gen10.
They both recently had iLO5 upgraded from a very old version. Ever since then I see the SDR is changing every 30 seconds based on the timestamp outputs of ipmi-sensors --sdr-info. This is causing problems with our monitoring system.
I am trying to determine if this is expected or abnormal. All other physical servers I have been able to check the SDR timestamp does not change after the server has booted. However, none of the other physical servers are running iLO5.
My simple test
root@adc-a-mon-p13:~# while [ 1 ] ; do ipmi-sensors --sdr-info | grep timestamp ; sleep 11 ; echo ; done

Hello,
You may refer to section "SDR repository device commands" of the HPE iLO IPMI User Guide for more information.

Re: Gen10 Proliants SDR Changing every 30 seconds
Are you still facing this issue?
May I know if downgrading iLO firmware worked?

Re: Gen10 Proliants SDR Changing every 30 seconds
@BPSingh Downgrading the firmware did not help. I went as old as iLO5 2.72
I was hoping somebody else with one of these servers might simply check the behavior on their machines.
My next thought is to apply an HP SPP to the server.

Re: Gen10 Proliants SDR Changing every 30 seconds
Greetings!
Do you have any servers that are not displaying this behavior?
If so, could you please check and compare the differences between these servers?
