How would I go about 3D Printing DICOM data?
I am new to the field of 3D printing and am curious if someone can point me in the right direction. I have some DICOM data of human bones and I'm trying to 3D print these to build a model. Do I need some software to convert these into STL files? Is there anything open source that I can use to print these? Do I need some visual tool to view the DICOM or can I send straight to a printer? Is 3D printing upto the standards to print such models? Is there any gotchas that I need to look out for when considering a 3D printer to use?
