HP IP Console Switch 3x1x16 - Security Active

Hi Everyone,

I inherited an HP IP Console Switch 3x1x16 that I don't have the password for.  When I connect through the serial port using Hyperterminal I get a display banner "HP IP Console Switch 3x1x16" "Security Active" and then

"Enter current password ->"

There is no place to enter a username, just the password.  I don't have this password and need to reset the switch to factory defaults.  Unfortunately, I don't know how to get to the menus since I can't login.

Does anyone know another way to reset the switch to factory defaults?  Thanks.

Hello,

Did you managed to fixed your issue with the KVM?

I have the same problem, and when I opened a case with the support, I had no real result.

The strange thing is that I managed to get the IP address of the KVM but no port are open, so I can't login though the web interface.
