hp kvm server console switch af616a wont connect

Hi Guys, my name is Mike, i just got this kvm which aparently doesnt work, when when i connect the server to the one of the ports, it show on the server list, however when i double click on it to connect to the server it wont connect it just shows the name of the server on a pink color.  what am i doing wrong?  i am using the right hp connector and kvm cat cable as well. so not sure.... thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

 

Please ensure that cabling is correct,

From KVM to IP console switch and from IP console switch to the server.
