Re: HP P/N in the disk part number and P/N, what's the difference?
Disk sticker information have HP P/N and P/N, I want to know the difference.
Part number/Product number (p/n): This number provides specific information about the productтАЩs hardware components. The part number helps a service technician to determine what components and parts are needed.
And I would like to know the difference between the spare number and the part number on the server disk guide.
One HDD
1. GPN: 507129-001
P/N: 507119-003
The front of caddy spare number exist. E.g.
Spare details:
1. GPN: 507283-001
P/N: 507119-001, 518194-001, 518011-001, 518194-003
If you found drive with above P/N will replace.

SolutionHello,
Assembly Number: is a part number for a product company.
This is the assembly part number: GPN: 507129-001
One is spare part number: Spare part number is a replicable part number from the product company.
This is HP Spare Par number t# 507283-001
All the below spare part numbers are replaceable by the product company.
P/N: 507119-001, 518194-001, 518011-001, 518194-003
All the below part numbers are a good example for your reference for one hard disk.
Part Number(s)
HP Option Part# 507125-B21
HP Spare Part# 507283-001
HP Assembly Part# 518011-001
HP Model# EG0146FARTR
HP GPN 507129-001 or 507129-002
Unfortunately all the parts end of life, I think may not be available.

Hello,
HP P/N and assembly both are same.
HP P/N as a spare part number for replacement, do not confused.
