Re: HPE Drive Firmware Flashing
I am trying to flash an HPE Enterprise Drive ST0000NM0033 from SN03 to SN06, any advice would be much appreciated as I have been pulling my hair out with this.
That drive model number does not look correct to me -- I would have expected the numbers following the "ST" (that represent the drive's capacity) to be something other than all zeroes, ie: ST1000NM0033, ST2000NM0033, ST4000NM0033, etc.
Also, what kind of system/controller are you using to update the firmware?

What type of server or storage system is the drive currently installed in? From what I can tell, the ST1000NM0033 with non-"HPxx" firmware is an MSA drive. What is the spares part number listed on the drive?

Re: Query: HPE Drive Firmware Flashing
Hi There,
I have been using various servers to try and get this firmware flashed and still cannot get my head around something that should be simple.
Atm i have DL580 G5 and using an extension cable from Sas to Sata. I have also tried running it in my cabinet which is running a ML370 G5 and using the supplied Fibre Hot Plug Adaptor and still no joy.
If I can find a procedure to allow me to do this I can follow that and that woudl help a lot
Best regards david

Re: Query: HPE Drive Firmware Flashing
Hello,
I would suggest, you have to log a proper case with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.
If you feel this was helpful please click the KUDOS! thumb below and accept the solution.
