HPE LCD 8500 Display Port input
Hello
I am considering buying a HPE LCD 8500 as it seems to have a Display Port input.
Can anyone cconfirm that this input can be used as a monitor input directly from a computer/server?
How can I switch between VGA and Display Port input?
Many thanks

Sv: Query: HPE LCD 8500 Display Port input
Thank you for the quick answer.
I have read through the Console User Guide and although it mentions the port exisitng, it does not provide any details for how to access the port.
In the OSD chapter, there is no mention of how to switch between the VGA input and the Display Port input.
I have seen accessories that use the Display port input (Ethernet adapter etc.), is this port reserved for this use?

Sv: Query: HPE LCD 8500 Display Port input
Hello,
It appears that there is no setting to toggle between the VGA and display ports. This lead me to think that at a given time any one would be the primary. Would one need to connect only one at a time is a question that I am not able to answer with certainity.

Re: Sv: Query: HPE LCD 8500 Display Port input
From the User Guide we notice that Display port and VGA ports are supported.
Please check detailed cabling on Page 11-12 and Port availability on port 6. (https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04569797)
You can select VGA input by pressing the "Input" button on the front panel of the LCD8500 and selecting VGA from the menu that appears.
