Hi guys,
our machine Proliant DL360 Gen10 has a Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 controller, firmware version 1.98.
We would like to try upgrade by SPP 2020.09 - it shows Critical requirement to version 3.00.
However your Installation Instructions for firmware ver. 3.00 on https://www.hpe.com/support/hpesc do not
specify any procedure, it shows only "Back up your data before initiating a firmware update." and some notices...
.It is safe? Or It is possible to choose version 3.21 using the USB Key Utility and to skip the version 3.00?
Which method is safer? Or keep the version 1.98?
Our server is equipped with seven SAS 12G drives (legacy mode, no RAID), live Debian OS, and we must not afford a crash.
Thanks George

Re: HPE Smart Array P408i-a firmware update
Hello AmRa,
thank you for answer.
Is an update to version 3.00 at all necessary, when the system is set to legacy boot mode and has no logical drive? What would happen if we stayed at version 1.98?
