Oneview reporting
I am very frustrated with Oneview Reporting and hopefully someone can help.
I want to see the firmware version of all the HDDs in my servers.
If I export a firmware report, Oneview creates a line for each server and groups all the devices in a single cell, and all the firmware versions in the adjoining cell.. There can be a dozen or more devices in that single cell, and with several hundred servers his makes the report worthless.
Sorting through each server firmware cell is too cumbersome.
I need the drive models and firmware in their own columns to sort the spreadsheet by hard drive firmware version.
The amplifier pack did this quite well, so it can be done but is seems that the reporting in Oneview isnt designed for what I need. Does anyone know a way to get what i need?
Thanks

Re: Oneview reporting
Hi @Chris_Coates
In OneView, navigate to the Server Hardware section, select the specific server, and then locate the Firmware information.
The details will be displayed for each HDD, including the firmware version.

Re: Oneview reporting
Hi @Chris_Coates ,
Alternatively, you can try using the Firmware Compliance feature. This can help identify and compare current firmware versions against a baseline.
You can access this feature to get an overview of firmware compliance for your server hardware, which will include the firmware versions for the HDDs.
Please go through this document for more information: Link.
Thank and Regards,

Re: Oneview reporting
That doesnt help at all.
I cant be poking through each server individually. I need to be able to have the needed information in a sortable report.

Re: Oneview reporting
I am well aware of how to that and it wont help.
When HPE sends out a advisory about a firmware version, I need to be able to run a report on all 200 servers and see what the current version is. The new update isnt even in oneview yet, so it won't show up in complaince view.
