PCI SCSI Diff Card model KZPBA-CY

Can someone point me to compatibility information on this adapter for hpux and solaris, etc.

That part/model number doesn't look like any HP number that I've ever seen, so I would conclude that it must be a Sun part and therefore, most likely, incompatible with HP.

The KZPBA is a Qlogic Ultrawide Scsi adapter from HP (Compaq heritage) for the AlphaServer product line.

I suspect it is not compatible with anything other then the Tru64 and OpenVMS Operating systems.

It's quite unmodified from the original qlogic model, I put two of them into a pc server for reconfiguration of scsi id's some day.
It definitely looks identical to the hp9000 counterpart, but most definitely it will have a different vendor id, so it probably won't work on HP-UX (but I never tried)

For solaris, I'd guess it's going to work on x86 solaris, and maybe even on sparc, but I doubt it very much.

It is Compatibe with OpenVMS & Tru64 Unix.
The Differential Scsi works like a standard Different Wide SCSI Model, which works with a higher voltage for the bigger distange.
It has a special terminator for Diff. SCSI.

Hi Asghar,

even the card has its equivalent in the hp-ux world, the firmware will be totally different and you won't be able to change this. So this card is not compatible to hp-ux.
