Power cable question for 3 x RTXA4000 install on raiser card for HPE DL380 Gen10 server
Dear All,
I have a HPE DL380 Gen10 server, and to fullin our customer to use the application, we purchased 3 x a RTXA4000 graphic card, to installed on 2 x raiser cards, 2 of the RTXA4000 install on the first raiser card, and one of the RTXA4000 install on the 2nd raiser card, since each TRXA4000 require over 140W to use, its needs external power, just wonder any GPU power cable can filful my case ? i found 2 of the raiser card has 8 pins power output, can i find a power cable (8 pins to 6 pins) to connect to this raiser card 8 bins power output to the RTXA4000 graphic card to provide power ? also i see a 10 pins power output adapter in the mainboard, can i find a power cable (10 pins to 6 pins) to connect from mainboard to the TRXA4000 graphic cards ? any help would be appreicated

thank for reply, i see the 871829-B21 is 8 pins to 6 pins, but the mainboard is 10 pins, will it works ?

Hey keith,
If your HPE DL380 Gen10 server's mainboard has a 10-pin power output, you cannot directly use an 8-pin to 6-pin power cable (such as the 871829-B21) to connect the mainboard to the RTXA4000 graphic card. The number of pins must match between the power output and the power input connectors.
To properly power the RTXA4000 graphic card from the mainboard, you will need a power cable that converts from 10 pins to the required number of pins on the graphic card, which is likely 8 pins. Unfortunately, I don't have information about a specific power cable with a 10-pin to 6-pin configuration.
However, you may try contacting the HPE Support for further guidance.
