Proliant models an classic HP System Rack e 42
little Question, is it possible mount new proliant systems in an old (classic) hp system rack E/42??

HP makes, or at least used to make "Universal Rail Kits" for the Proliant Server line. I think the newest rail kits are supposed to be more universal as you can remove/rearrange pieces from them and make them fit any rack... supposedly.

yes, the one with the round holes.
I only knew the rails from the G3-Models and they seems to me that they didn't fit.

The G3 and earlier models usually had an extra kit you can buy to mount them into racks like those.
