R3000 UPS - using on non Compaq server running W2k
I've got an R3000 UPS that I'd like to use on a non-Compaq server (;o). Can I pretend it's an APC UPS or does anyone know what I should enter into the config boxes in the Windows 2000 Custom UPS configuration? (It asks whether Power Fail, Low Battery and UPS Shutdown are 'Negative' or 'Positive'.)
Thanks
Thanks

Re: R3000 UPS - using on non Compaq server running W2k
Laurence,
"Can I pretend it's an APC" No!! Do not use the built in Microsoft UPS software to manage the R3000 UPS.
Try the UPS software on the HP web site.
www.hp.com/products/ups
I would recomend HP power manager for a single UPS.

Re: R3000 UPS - using on non Compaq server running W2k
The R3000 UPS' came with lansafe software from Deltec (or whoever they now are). I'm fairly sure that this software will run on any computer.
