Hi everyone,
I added an 8GB memory module to my Proliant ML30 Gen9 Server and when it starts to load the Bios in the "Memory Start" part the Server restarts and goes into a Loop.
The memory module that I am adding, that they gave me, says as a description the following ...
8GB 1Rx4 PC4-2400T- RC2- 12
KTH-PL424 / 8G
1.2V
Do you know what it can be? They told me it was compatible with the server.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jonah

Re: Reinicio servidor HP Proliant ML30 Gen9 por Upgrade de Memoria
Hi,
According to your supplied info KTH-PL424 / 8G, this is the memory.
https://www.kingstonmemoryshop.co.uk/kingston-8gb-ddr4-kth-pl424-8g-reg-ecc-ram-memory-dimm
Always refer to HPE product QuickSpecs for compatible parts.
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04834991
Supported DIMM modules as per QuickSpecs:
HPE 8GB (1x8GB) Single Rank x8 DDR4-2133 CAS-15-15-15 Unbuffered
HPE 8GB (1x8GB) Single Rank x8 DDR4-2400 CAS-17-17-17 Unbuffered
Please check if your DIMM's are compatible and if YES, do check the Population order, also check if the Processor supports the DIMM from Kingston.
Thanks

Re: Reinicio servidor HP Proliant ML30 Gen9 por Upgrade de Memoria
This is kind of necroposting but it may help others:
I had essentially the same issue while installing a NEMIX 16GB DDR4-2666 ECC UDIMM Memory module in an HP Proliant ML30 gen 10 server. Upgrading the BIOS fixed the problem.
