remote management interface for sl165s g7

Hello,

I have 40 servers of hp sl165s g7 to install Rocky Linux and build a high performance computing cluster. First, a demo installation of rocky succeeded. So I decided to use it. Now, I want to activate any remote management interface for remote installation and management. In bios, I tried to change IPMI settings with the hp support documents but web(ILO or lights out) interface did not work. How can I activate and use remote management?

Thanks.

Hi,

From the attached link, if you refer to page#6, it tells about LO100 optional (licensed) features.

If still having issues configuring Lights Out 100, check if the server requires any Lights-Out Firmware or BIOS update.

Thank You!

Re: remote management interface for sl165s g7

Hi,

I read page #6. I only need "Web browser access (HTTP) to power control" as already a standard feature. I checked the link you provided. Thanks.

My BMC version is 4.22, very old. I plan to upgrade to 4.26(latest). However, the tools need windows operating system. I am using Rocky Linux 8.5 and Centos 7.

Unlocky for me, this tool has a very different file extension(scexe). I think it needs windows too. I extracted it, a meaningless file created.

Unfortunately, I will quit to use LO100 or other stuff. This update process requires more time and more resources. I will manage the servers physically. Thanks again.
