Upgrading the R3000 XR

Hi people ,

Can we use add-ons from the new R3000 model in the old ones ? We want to add batteries HP R3000 ERM (PN: AF415A) .

Not much differences between the old and new R3000 as I was told the new model is for RoHS compliant only. It would be fine to add the ERM to the old ones
