UPS Management Module not seeing Battery or Voltage Statuses
Hello All,
Hopefully somebody can help me. We have recently installed a R3000 UPS with the optional HP UPS Management Module. Unfortunately the purchaser never read the supported operating systems and we are using a bog standard windows 2000. This has left me struggling with trying to get the UPS management module working with the OS using HP Power and Rack management, HP Power Management 4.2-4.6, HP UPS Power Protection Agent and Lansafe 5. None of these are detecting the UPS management module using XPC or SNMP.
This has been a continous struggle for two weeks now, but I have noticed that the battery status on the UPS management module is unknown and this includes the input and output voltages. The UPS itself registers everything as functioning correctly. Does anybody have any suggestions as to why the management module cannot see the battery status? I have upgraded its firmware to 1.20.
We are considering changing the management module to the orginil serial connector, is this hot swappable?

Re: UPS Management Module not seeing Battery or Voltage Statuses
Yes it is. Just unplug it and plug the serial module back in
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
