What events are monitored & notified by HP iLO4 AlertMail?

I have been rooting around the internet and really haven't come up with a definitive answer. (I may have also missed it someplace easy, so I am depending on all of you to help me out!)

I have been tasked to find the specific differences between iLO AlertMail and Event Notifier from HP. The Event Notifier gives me a checklist of options. AlertMail, on the other hand, is not so easy to sort out. Bear in mind, I am woefully unfamiliar with the program, and inherited this server out of warranty.

So the question: Are there any documents out there that tell me exactly what triggers the AlertMail system to send a notification?

Thanks in Advance. V

Re: What events are monitored & notified by HP iLO4 AlertMail?

ILO monitors health of all the hardware components of the server. If there are any issues noticed with any of the hardware components, it will log a alert in the Integrate management logs. If ILO alert mail configured, then a notification will be sent to the configured email id. for example, any issues with the Fan, HDD, Power supply, DIMM, processor, NIC, HBAs will be notified through alert mail.

ILO also monitors the server reboot, temperatures of all the components and the thresholds of them. If there are any component temperature reaches the threshold / caution, there will be an event logged in the IML and the admin will be notified.

There isn't a laundry list of items it reports on, though, correct?

Ultimately we are looking for the differences between the Event Notifier and AlertMail.

Thank you!
